Kansas State Addendum

Domestic Abuse,Sexual Assault,and Related Crimes Leave

Employees may take up to eight(8) days unpaid time off work per hour who is a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault. An eligible employee may take time off to:

  • Obtain or attempt to obtain any relief, including, but not limited to, a temporary restraining order,restraining order or other injunctive relief to help ensure the health, safety or welfare of the victim or the victim’s child or children;
  • Seek medical attention for injuries caused by domestic violence or sexual assault;
  • Obtain services from a domestic violence shelter, domestic violence program or rape crisis center as a result of domestic violence or sexual assault; or
  • Make court appearance in the aftermath of domestic violence or sexual assault.

Firearms in Company Parking Lots

Employees may bring a licensed concealed firearm into the company parking lot, so long as the employee leaves the firearm in their personal vehicle. The vehicle must remain locked at all times and the firearm must not be visible from outside of the vehicle. Possession of firearms elsewhere on company property or possession of any other type of weapon prohibited at all times.

Military Leave

Members of the National Guard may take an unpaid leave of absence to attend drills or annual muster or perform active service. Upon return to work, an employee will be Reinstated to his/her position with equivalent seniority, benefits, pay and other terms and conditions of employment.

Pregnancy Non-Discrimination and Accommodations

In accordance with the Kansas Acts Against Discrimination, employers with 4 or more employees will treat a pregnant employee or applicant the same as the employer treats or would treat any other employee or applicant not so affected but similar in the ability or inability to work, without regard to the source of any condition affecting the other employee’s or applicant’s ability or inability to work.

Voting Leave

The Company encourages employees to exercise their voting previliges in local, state, and national elections.However, since the polls are open for long periods,employees are encouraged to vote before or after regular working hours. If an employees work schedule interferes with open polling hours,he/she may be eligible to take up to two (2) hours of unpaid time off from work to vote.Exempt employees may be provided time off with pay when necessary to comply with federal and state wage and hour laws.

Georgia State Addendum

Employee Sick Leave

Employees ma use paid personal or sick leave for the care of an immediate family member; provided the employee has up to five(5) days of earned personal or sick leave per calendar year. This policy does not extend the maximum period of leave to which an employee is entitled under the Family Medical Leave Act regardless of whether the employee receives sick leave Compensation during that leave. This policy applies only to personal or sick leave benefits granted by the Company. It does not include use of short/long-term disability.

Jury Duty Leave

The company recognizes the civic responsibility of jury duty service in the federal and state court systems by permitting time off from work when an Employee is summoned to jury duty.Employees are encouraged to serve on jury duty when summoned and will not be penalized, terminated, or disciplined due to their jury duty service. To provide income protection while an employee carries out his/her civic responsibility , the company will provide paid time off, less fees received from the court, while serving on jury duty.Employees requesting leave for these purposes will be required a copy of the summons to serve on jury duty prior to commencement of the leave. All benefits continue uninterrupted during the period of jury service.

Military Leave

Employees are entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for military service,assemblies, or annual training, including active state service as a member of the U.S. armed forces reserves or the National Guard of Georgia or another state.
